20th Birthday
Wooho!! Yay I finally turned 20 on Sep 4, 2010. Well I really dont feel any different not that im supposed to ( i think)
I dont normally celebrate my birthday so i spent my day like any other day by going shopping for back to school and stuff and on the way I decided to get my ear cartilage pierced. I was actually nervous for the piercing because I thought it would it hurt but it was totally unpainful.
When I went home my little brothers made me a home made cake with frosting..it was delicious.
Yeah so thats about it.
Summer Job 2010
Ok, right after I finished school on April I knew i was going to have a long summer so I started looking for a job. So i finally got a job at a telemarketing place and it did pay good but it was horrible..uff..i hated the fact that I had to call people and beg them to donate money for various causes and stuff and I felt like i was cheating them because I was pretty sure by the looks of it the corporation that I worked for were actually taking the money for themselves and only giving small amounts to the charity cases.
The people who worked there were all older people that I couldnt befriend and stuff and they seemed really uneducated. And plus I hated the men who worked there, they smelt of booze and were keep on hitting on me and all the women who worked there and one of the men was telling one woman how he liked her boobs and this other guy was asking this married woman who worked there how her sex life is with her husband!! Astaghfurullah I cant believe he would ask such a question in such a public place and everyone just laughs, it was horrible.
So after 4 days of working there, me and two other muslim girls decided to quit! The place was just unbearable and that day it was even worse since it was a friday and everyone was preparing for the long weekend they decided to open some rap music and reggae and stuff and everyone starts singing and dancing.
I always say Alhamdillilah that i quit everytime i remember this experience.
Eventually after another round of job hunting my father finally got me a job at a local mosque to work as a summer camp councillor for young girls ages 8-18 but the majority of the kids who actually came were preteens. I really loved that job it was great and the girls were awesome Masha Allah they brought out my inner childhood. I had a fantabolous time with them, basically I had to teach them about basic stuff about the country’s law and what is right and what is wrong and tutor them in school work and multiple other stuff. The best part was when we played games, we played games such as red rover, pizza, tag, octopus, ladders, charades, martian/people of mars and etc. I’ve missed playing those games and it was great playing them. We also went on trips to the park, movies and restaurant also had pizza parties.
The downside of the job was that we had alot of drama as it is usual to happen when you have a group of 20 girls or more. Almost everyday we had at least an average of 3 fights and there is always a lot of shouting, yelling and in the end lots of crying and hurt feelings. And of course me being the only teacher there had to calm things up and make sure everyone is fine. But Alhamdillilah, I eventually got some volunteers to help me out with the kids and things started to look bright again.
Now that im done working there I really miss my little girls very much, the last day we wanted to have a big party but it was impossible since it was ramadan and everyone was fasting which meant we couldnt have food so it kinda sucked. But then we decided to have a card for everybody that everybody would sign and write nice stuff about each other, that came pretty hard to do because some girls had grudges against each other and stuff. I also gave the girls goodie bags with jewellery hopefully they liked it.
The girls were so sweet and they also gave me a gift, it was really thoughtful of them.
I really miss them and hope to see them really soon :(.

Finally, Alhamdillilah the awaited blessed month has arrived. So as muslims we should be fasting from Sunrise to Sunset and refr
ain from eating during that time period for a month and ofcourse that includes not backbiting, lying, cheating etc. (which means avoid all kind of sins) and working hard on making good deeds and p
ra
ying to Allah and asking for forgiveness and praying
Taraweeh. It also helps that shaitan is locked up.
Some Muslims think of Ramadan as a time to eat!! :O (I know shocking right, considering the fact that they are not eating the whole

day). At iftaar time they have so much food infront of them and while waiting for the Adhaan al-Maghrib they salivate at the dishes infront of them (not a good image). Oh yeah, its Samosa time. And contrarily to what a lot of people would believes, some people gain weight instead of losing it in Ramadan.
Also in many Islamic countries in Ramadan the greatest TV soap operas/dramas come on during the time of Taraweeh prayer, So its either you pray or miss the amazing show..hmm…that’s a hard one right?? :S Maybe not!!
At the same time there are many Muslims around the world who try to make the most of the Holy Month by reading Quran daily and praying Taraweeh and Tahajjud they also go for Ihtikaf during the last 10 days of the month. May Allah reward those people Insha Allah.
There is a phenomenon during Ramadan that I am very sure a lot of you have noticed or do. Everynight when people go to pray at the mosque they miss praying jamaa for Salat ul-Ishaa but make it in time for Taraweeh, this is terribly wrong considering the fact that praying Ishaa is obligatory(Fard) and Taraweeh is only sunnah. Another phenomenon is that the mosque is filled with worshippers that you have no place to pray during the first days of the month and the last 10 days especially the 27th because people want to get a chance at praying on Lailatul-Qadr. Ummm…who said that Lailutul Qadr is on the 27th it could be on any day of the 21,23,25 or 27…Go figure. And it makes you wonder what happens to the muslim population halfway through Ramadan for some reasons the mosques are empty.
So Ramadan Kareem Y'All and may Allah Subhanahu Wa ta3ala accept your fast (siyam)...Amen
ns, 6 Africans, 4 Asians, 3 countries for North and Central Americas including the carribean, 5 South Americans and only 1 country for Oceania. Obviously this makes you wonder if they were favouring the Europeans ( hell yeah, they were 13 countries..duh..) this doesnt even give a chance to the rest of the world, what happened to China and India each country has more than billion people in their country atleast they should have people to represent, trust me all this is a scam so only european nations make it to the finals,,,,,and oooh yeah 1st,2nd and 3rd place were europeans, totally unfair (please dont tell me the rest of the world sucks)
